You should consider checking whether it is not from the pen being write
protected that you are having such problem. Though please go through the

sounds like u formated with fat32. If U are on w2k, xp, vista or w7 u should use ntfs for the format else u dont get full capacity. rightclick on ur pen drive and format again but do it with ntfs and make sure it does the full 4gb. if this don't work u can remove the particion in computer managment console and do a new ntfs in there.
