Ipod Nano 4G Won't Charge, apple logo appears

My Ipod Nano 8gb, 4th Gen doesn't charge. When i plug the charger in, the apple logo appears, then after few seconds the home screen is displayed and then after 5secs the battery sign with an exclamation mark appears.
I've tried it with different computers, wall chargers, different dock connectors, tried reseting it, but still it won't work. Please help me since my ipod is unusable since two months. Thank You.

That sequence continues again and again, (the apple logo, home screen and empty battery sign). It's obviously getting power as this sequence never stops.
please help
