Ipod touch completely dead Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,  
Please My ipod ran out of battery a few days ago. It is so dead it won't even charge. 
I've run through all the ipod troubleshooting. I've held down the buttons is all combinations for various amounts of time, I've used different usb ports, I've reinstalled itunes, I've plugged it into my roommates computer and I plugged hers into mine; Her's connected to my mac. 

Is it just so very dead that it can't even recognize I'm trying to charge it? 
Any other crazy ideas?

Greetings, 
Follow these instructions: 

1 - Simultaneously press the top button + home button. 
2 - Keep both buttons until the Apple appears. 
3 - Then release only the top button but still hold the home button pressed. 
4 - The iPod goes into recovery mode and then you can restore it via iTunes

Frappes ta tête contre une cruche. Si tu obtiens un son creux, n'en déduis pas que c'est forcément la cruche qui est vide!

Found out what's goin' on!
If resetting your ipod doesn't work look inside the headphone jack. that is where the water damage paper is. If it's white that means it's dry, there's a hard ware issue. If its red. . . its more expensive to fix than your ipod is probably worth.

thanks for the adivce my ipod and ipad blackedout and it worked my ipod is 4 th generation and my ipad is the new one and they blockedout so thanks again it actually works
