SONY VAiO i button keyboard not working

Hello,

'm usng sony vao model (VGN-SR13GN) and for the past two months, there s ths one button on my keyboard whch cannot be pressed. and that's the letter 'i'.

there's a ticking sound that keeps going on and on in the background, indicating that there's a key that is being pressed on continuously, however, my 'i' key is not being physically pressed at all.

more ridiculously, as and when i open a new window and place the cursor there, one whole stream of letter 'i's will start appearing, like as if somebody is pressing on it.

can somebody help me please!!! thank you so much!! :)
