Hard disk problem

hello,

can anyone help me? i have an ACER ASPIRE 4755G, i was watching movie( saved on laptop) my machine just power off and when it came back, it only shows this message,

PXE-E61: media test failure, check cable

PXE-M0F: exiting broadcom PXE ROM

i tried the BIOS, no hard disk was detected( but no message like that, its just the hard diak slot is empty)

Probably it's a hard disk failure. Can you test the hard disk on another computer?
