Hello,

My Western Digital is not getting detected which was working 1 week before. Suddenly this was not detected and following is happening after connecting in my laptop (Win 7 64 bit OS)
a) Light appearing on the drive.
b) Hearing sound from the drive.

Tried going to device manager and tried to uninstall and install / install the drivers but nothings working.

But not detected. Please help me on this. I have my whole back up on that...plzzzzzzzzzzz

Thanks,
Kaushal..

Does it work on other computers? If yes, try this on your computer: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/troubleshoot-common-usb-problems-5e9a9b49-ad43-702e-083e-6107e95deb88

Other option is go to control panel > administrative tools > Computer management > Disk management and check if there is a drive letter assigned to a storage. Try to assign a drive letter if you see your storage there.

If not, it's broken but you can use a recovery software to recover the files you needed.
