Hi!

Recently I had problem with Hard Drive in my Toshiba Satellite laptop. So I bought new Seagate 500 GB hard drive and installed. But after that it is not booting up. I have Vista ( which I am planning to change as well later). I have Toshiba installation CD ( Part 1 and 2 ) but it is not helping. Toshiba recovery mode is not recognizing the Hard Drive. It says Boot CD is required. Do I need any other Drivers or CD to reinstall Window Vista. Thank you for your help in Advance.

Hi there,

Please check the cabling for some connectivity issues. In case everything seems OK, check if the drive is visible in BIOS. If it is and you have this option, connect the drive to another PC and format it. Is the CD you are using an installation CD?

Hope this helps
