My ISP is virgin and i have a Samsung laptop I cannot access the internet by clicking on the e icon it keeps indication it cannot find Google.uk the on board adapter indicates that its working in fact if i log on to MSN the front page appears but I cannot access anything else. Yet my partner says she can access google yahoo and any thing else from the virgin modem so that seems to be working. I can only access the web via Chrome, and the internet adapters both on the bottom tool bar and via the control panel say everything is working and the internet is connected which it is but only via Chrome what could the problem be can anyone help please

Go to command prompt
In the Black Command Box Type: netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
Hit Enter Key
Restart the computer and try to log in and browse the Internet.
If the problem persists, continue using these steps.
In command prompt
In Black Command Box Type: netsh winsock reset
Hit Enter Key
Restart Computer
Good luck
