Don't know user name or password

Hello,
I have purchased a used computer from a business that has gone out of business. When I boot up the computer it goes to Windows xp Professional. At that point it asks me for a user name and password of which I have no idea of what they are. My question is how can I access the computer without knowing what these two entries should be? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
