How to keep icons on wallpaper on??? computer

Hello,
well when i turn my computer on it allows me to log in but my icons do not show up.
so I was told task to do the task manager thing and type explorer.exe. so i did the icons came up but i would like to know how to keep them on there.b/c when i turn the computer on again i have to do it everytime..so i dont know what to do TO KEEP THE ON???? PLEASE HELP....

Go on Task Manager press CTRL, ALT and DELETE
Then click on File , New Task (Run)
Type: explorer.exe
