Hello,

I have scanned a table from a journal and imported it into Calc. I have copied the particular column I am interested in to another Calc column and have cleaned it both of scanning mistakes and of symbols other than numbers. But when I try to use Data-Sort to put the column in numeric order a/ it is done in two distinct parts with ordering independent of each other b/ all the values for -0.02 in each part are shown out of order. There is a bar shown between the two parts that I can't get rid of.

I have tried copying the numbers into two or three different columns, and exporting the spreadsheet into Microsoft; none of that made a difference.

Yours Sincerely,
Alan E. Dunne

So, what you are saying, is all values are being as ABSOLUTE, and not being considered for negative? Your example is already sorted!

Not having found an answer to my problem, nor, apparently even succeeded in conveying what the problems were, I have decided to give up on what was a side project, and close this question if I can.
