Gateway M465-E, display is gone

So i regularly work on this laptop, but it's been 2 days the display is one i can hear startup sound, i can see the power on, charging and other lights if i press caps on and off button but the problem is screen is black and when i open it's flap it blinks and then turns black is there any solution?

Tell us if the issue remain if you use an external monitor.

I'm using an old monitor, but isn't there anyway i can fix my laptop?

If you get a display on the old monitor, your laptop's back lights need to be replaced.
