Acer laptop won't turn on

Hello,
When I press power button blue light turn on for 3 seconds then it gets off but laptop doesnot turn on and when I plug in power source it shows red light on. What is the problem in my laptop

HOw old is the Laptop? What operating system is it? Can you remove the battery without turning any screws? What is the make and model of the laptop? Is it connected via wifi? Oh, forget that last one, not pertinent in this matter!
