Laptop blank screen

When I turn on my laptop I have a blank screen with Two uppercase backwards L’s in left top corner how to fix it

Press the numlock key after it boots, does a light turn on?

Try to also post back with the make and model of the laptop, along with the OS it was running! These things can help!
