Sony vaio laptop black screen

Hello, I have a Sony vaio laptop I plug it in and press the power button and all the lights turn on and off then the power light stays on but no screen the screen is off not just on with a black screen but off so I used the HDMI to plug it in to my tv but it said it got input but it was just a black screen please help

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.
