I can't log into facebook and have tried multiple times today!!!

Hello, facebook is being ridiculously aggravating. i tried to sign in ALL day long, off and on. it keeps taking me to a place where i can put in either my email or phone number. i have tried each one (a couple of times....) and it just keeps looping me back to the same spot. what the hell?

System Configuration: Windows / Chrome 73.0.3683.75

Thank you for the feedback. I was unaware of the "facebook down?" link. This morning my area isn't highlighted on that page so perhaps it was just for yesterday. I have yet to try it today as I got so aggravated with them yesterday! I appreciate your information.
