How to change Best friends list to 3

Hello,
I’m trying to change my best friends list to 3. I’m u able to by going to settings , manage etc. there’s nowhere that shows number of best friends. How do I go about changing it?

System Configuration: iPhone / Safari 12.0

The support page does not say that it is configurable. It only says that it allows up to eight.
