Format a write-protected usb thumb drive in windows 10

Ed here. I've followed several of the solutions to format a write protected usb thumb drive step by step, yet it does not work on my system. still cannot format it or delete some older files that are on it.

Hello, have you tried this guide on how to disable write protection on a USB key.

Alternative for removing write protection from a USB (windows 10)

If deleted files keep coming back
