I think you will need full access to the account to do so. Or at least that's what I've needed to done when I ran an Instagram account on behalf of a business.
On Facebook it was slightly easier, because you could post as the page, but I'm not sure there is the same feature on Instagram (yet).
You could always try contacting Instagram and asking them directly, but I doubt you'll get a quick response.
