Hard drive boot failure

My bios detect the the hard drive on my Optiplex machine but when it runs it says no bookable device is found.

It could be a hard drive problem. If you power on and off a few times, it should force Windows 10 to offer you StartUp Repair options, if the system lets it go that far.

The alternative would be to removed the hard disk and slave it to another machine using a cheap cable and connector. Running Checkdisk with the /r switch and the sfc /scannow command to fix or replace corrupted system files.

Hi,

In order to fix this no bootable device found the issue, just follow the below steps.

1) You need to go to Bios Set UP and Disable the secure boot .

2) Advanced Boot option" on the left side ,make sure that ""Enable legacy option ROM "" is selected 3) Now Go to "Boot sequence " and select "Legacy" in Boot list. Restart the computer and you can see the Boot devices list
