Deleting 'recent contacts'

Hi. When I click on a photo in a WhatsApp message, an arrow comes up on the right, taking me to 'recent contacts' as suggestions who I might want to forward this photo to. I would like to delete these recent contacts but can't find any way of doing this. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi,

It seems that there is no option to remove contacts from the frequently contacted list. You can try to delete chats or archive them in order to hide those contacts.
