Can I hide or disable the new View Once (1) button?

Using WhatsApp on Android, and now there is a "view once" button right next to the message send arrow button! I am constantly fat fingered and hitting both at once, when I do NOT want to use view once.
We need a setting to hide or move this button!

WhatsApp added an optional “View Once” setting to its in-application camera, which allows users to send photos and videos in chats that can only be viewed a single time. ... You can tap the number one icon again if you decide to turn this setting off before sharing the photo or video in the chat.

This is a good feature, but poorly implemented.
