the main difference will be the connection speed.
using the USB modem should be much faster than the phone.

No and Yes...
1. No because your huawei modem is not yet open-line... and is lock..
2. Yes..to do that you have to make your modem open-lined to your new service provider SIM.. and you need a program that will open line your modem..
3. And from that, you can do whatever you want..to use different sim card and different service provider..
