Monitor speakers

Hello, I just hooked up my monitor to my laptop. All works great except there is no volume. I still have the volume on the laptop but not from the speakers in the monitor. How do I get the speakers to turn on? I have the volume up, the mute off. Any suggestions?

Dear Sir,

This is quite normal that you won't get the sound on your tv!

You will have to plug in speakers from the laptop!
