Hello this can be done,
You will have to :
Go into your Control Panel --> My Network Places, then to your wireless connection, bring the list of wireless connections you have up, and ask your PC to create an ad-hoc network. Do this on both PCs.
You will need to ensure that file-sharing is turned on, but after that you should be able to transfer files between the two.
