Hello,

I have an old (8+ yrs) Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop that has not been working. The LED light indicators all work fine but when I push the power button, I don't head the hard drive spinning. The LED light to indicate that laptop is on is green. The battery indicator is also green. The power cord indicator is also green.

So it does not appear to be a power issue. What could be wrong? If I hold down the power button for several seconds, the power LED goes off to indicate that the laptop is off.

If I have to take it to a professional for assessment, should I take it to Best Buy? The laptop is so old, I don't even remember where I bought it.

Thanks.
