Welcome screen

Hello,
Using Windows XP home edition.....when starting my computer, a welcome screen appears with my user name and a picture. Included in the box with the picture is a message telling me that I have XX number of unread emails, which is incorrect. Where/how can I correct or eliminate that information?

Hello Sir,

This is because your Mail inbox is full,

To remove this information just delete these mails or if you use outlook delete the mails
