Connect lap top to internet via desk top

Hello,
I have a lap top and a desk top however when i use the internet on my lap top i have to hard wire it to route. Im sure my lap top has wifi, so can i set up a wireless connection from my lap top to my desk top. The route for the desk top is not WiFi. Please help.

Hello Sir,

This is impossible,

You will have to connect your laptop and desktop to the router,

then you will be able to get the connection on the two computers
