Laptop wont turn on.

Hello,
I have an acer 6935 g which was working perfectly but now all of a sudden when i was plugged in and using my notebook it turned off as if the power was cut off.i tried re-fixing the ac adepter but nothing happened, the battery charging light doesn't even come on and the notebook doesn't boot up.
the notebook also does not start when i am on battery power.

Can some one please tell me why this is happening?
my notebook didn't over heat btw.

Hello Sir,

Just turn off everything, Unplug the battery for some minutes,

Put it back and plug in the charger and turn on the laptop

This should solve the problem

thank you for your answer.

I tried doing that but it didn't work,though i only tried it once since i was not sure if doing so would damage my notebook.
