Ps3 connection via usb modem

Hello,

please help we have been trying t connect to the internet since july were using 3dongle usb modem with a laptop we have a ethernet cable connectd with a bthome hub as a router?????? we get suceeded for i.p address but failed for internet connection we have played about with wired/wireless connection, swapped all the wires around etc........... please help we got loadsa games t play online n been waitin ages

you can connect your 3 dongle to a laptop, go to network conections and find the modem your using and go to properties and then advanced, tick the box that allows other computers to use this computers internet connection, connect your ps3 via a cat 5 ethernet cable (comes with ps3 and it a tad faster than your average rj45 ethernet cable)

go to network setting on ps3, custom, wired connection, then auto everything else except mtu, this should be 1480, go through the rest on auto, then test your internet connection.

Dear Sir,

The only way to connect your PS3 to the network is to connect it using the LAN cable from a router only
