How long to format 1TB external hard drive

Hello,

I have just bought a Simpletech 1TB external hard drive. My operating system is WIndow Vista.

How long should it take to format?

It has been running for about 3 hours now and at 34% is that about right? I called the support line, not open on weekends and where we bought it didn't offer any help.

hi there,

in almost 20 minutes it must have already been formatted


go to disk management and format it from there
