i am wondering if you can use a gateway recovery disk on a compaq

I dont think so, the drivers and configuration wont be the same

Actually you CAN use a gateway disk on a COMPAQ PC. I just did one. The only difference is the fact that you'll need an activation code 30 days subsequent to the installation. Email me for more info: solow295@YAHOO.COM
