How to add antiviruse to vista?

Hello,
After the free norton antiviruse trial i tried to upload macafee on windows vista . But my windows didnot support it. I uninstalled the original windows added a new one one but still all the possible antiviruses are not being supported by it. Plz help and tell me how can add antiviurse to my laptop. Thanx....
