Same idea

So I have been having almost the same problem..I have a 80GB Ipod Classic (Video)
But as for me when i plug in my Ipod ever time it says it is connected.. after a few minutes it finally comes
up that it is there.. but then tells me it has to be restored so i restore it. once it has done that whole process it just tells me again and again that it has to be restored. Is there anything to do to fix this? because now i have a ipod that will turn on but has no music or anything because it has been wiped clean from the restoring process. And The Itunes wont let me sync any music onto the Ipod. Any help would be nice, thank you :)
