USB Device not Recognized

Hello,
I am having difficulties when trying to connect my Ipod and digital camera to my USB Ports. I have tried Uninstalling them, restarting the computer, and even unplugging the computer. But I am still getting a USB Device not recognized when I try to connect them to my computer. They are receiving power (as my Ipod can still re-charge.
Any help is really appreciated.
