I can't sign onto my windows live messenger 9

Dear friends plz help me out in m in hell problem wid this windows live messenger. i have been using dis version 9 for many months but its been few days that whenver i try to sign in it gives d error tht theres a newer version and i better install that, but i really dont want to install that newer version (14) so can someone plz help me how to tackle this problem n i cud sign in from my existing windows mesenger v9... I M REALLY FED UP
