Acer Aspire Laptop

Hello,
I bought an acer aspire 5330 laptop in february 2009, i changed the os from vista to xp, because acer does not provide drivers with the system, (dell does) i downloaded the drivers and i am having problems, the drivers are old and i can't find the etechnology to download , i found it on another site and i tried to install it and kept getting an error message, i tried to register the system and was told that the serial no is incorrect, but when i tried to buy a recovery cd they brought up the said no, but i still can't register the laptop, because the system is not register i can't get tech support.

I will never buy another thing from acer, even if it sells for a penny. People beware
