Problem with logging on

Hello,
everytime I logon to my computer it automatically loggs me off without even showing my desktop. My computer is a pentium 4 and i am using Windows XP (Home edition ). please help

It might be either from a malfunctioning of the operating system or virus attack.

For both situations, I would be recommending you to format your PC.
