Dvd burning on dvd rom

Hello,
i cant seem to burn movies on my dvd rom drive is it possible it doesnt reconise that there is a disk there but it will burn music on adieo disks is there a wy around this

What software are you using to burn DVDs? Windows XP needs a aftermarket program (like Nero) to burn DVDs.

i now nothing about computers how would i get nero

i used nero didnt reconice dvd r disk i put in a audio disk and it down loaded but if i put that disk in computer tere is no audieo on film but it is fine on my dvd player but pic is a bit small any ideas for any of these problems
