Dell e1505 wont cut on

Hello,
ok..this is driving me nuts!!!
The laptop wont cut on for nothing, when i hit the power button the lights cut on and blink and blink and then nothing. I dont know what more to do to it? Any suggestions! Im thinking throw the thing away! LOL

change the battery and connect the charger

to the device and let it take a long recharge
