Cd rom drive

Helo,
I was wondering if cd rom drives have a life, that is a period of time before they are unable to be used and also if it exist on what does it depends.

Dear Vainish,

Of course, it does have a life span. They won't be able to be used for ever. The main thing that gets used up

is its lens. After that the lens gets used up, you won't be able to use it anymore. Every cd rom drive has an

specific life span and it cannot be specified for there are far too many factors that determine it. Hope that
