Hello,
Hello,
My External Western Digital disk is not working and it is a pocket device so i cannot change how it is connected....
The device is a 320gb Passport Essential
Model: WDBAAA3200ABK
when i plug it in to my vista pc i can find it in disk management
and it is seen as an unknown device.... when i try to enable with MBR it says: Incorrect function
i have run out of ideas...

it does not even appear on disk management on my xp personal computer....
This problem is recent and has not happened before.

PS: I had put this under the wrong section

hi there,

i will suggest you to format it by using

hp disk format tool, you need to repeat the format three times

download it from link below:

https://ccm.net/downloads/tools/4639-hp-usb-disk-storage-format-tool/

Thanks
