I need help with my sansa disk mp3player

Hello,
my sansa disk 8gb mp3 player wont delete the songs,it freezes whenever i try to delete them. please help me and try to help me fix it...

Dear Sir,

Please delete them by formatting the Mp3 Player.

This will remove all the songs from the Mp3 player.
