Adding friends and uploading picture

Hello,
In my country facebook is filtered and I have to access it via anti filter, so it has a real low speed an I have to use light.facebook.com
my first problem is that when I want to add afriend a box appears that says type the letters in picture but the picture never displays , in bottom of that box said verify your acount by your code and when I clicked it , it wanted my phone number and said we will send a code to your phone and you should enter it to verify your acount ....
an again it never sends any code
what should I do ?

and my second problem is that I can not upload my profile photo on face book
I go to edit profile and click on upload a picture then a box appears and asks me to choose the file , when I do that nothing happens
what should I do ?
