Hello,

I have Windows Xp Pro on my brothers tower. A few days ago i had a small power cut while the computer was on and no it dont load up. this is what happenes...

turn on the computer and loads a bunce of stuff (this was happening before the problem)

Windows XP Loading screen (Screen with bar) comes up then near enough straight away The blue screen flshes, I have disabled automatic restart and i have everything it say on paper, 'STOP: 0x00000024 and so on'

I have a copy on xp on disc and booted from it to enter Recovery mode, entered R to enter it... Ran CHKDSK and said it was in good condition... restarted and still does the exact same thing, over and over and over and over and over till i turn it off via power switch

Also have the Red ligkt on the tower come on jusy as it starts to load but the goes off soon before it restarts and i can not enter 'safe mode, or last known good config etc etc'

PLEASE help, my bro dont wanna reinstall cause he has his sons baby photos on it

Thank you,

Mikey

Check these to links out. They might help you!!

This stop error means that your ntfs file system is corrupt (damage in the file system, bad hard drive data, corrupt SCSI or IDE drivers or a corrupt ntfs.sys file).
