Link data from one cell to another

Hello,
ok now what I am trying to do is make a simple formula that will let me take some data out of work book a and have it appear in work book B. is that possible if possible I would like to do this with a whole column at once but can do cell by cell if I have to.

Hi,

Open both workbooks, type in the destination cell in workbook B a "=", go to workbook A and select the cell you wish to take the data from and hit enter. Look at the formula in the formulabar and remove both $ symbols. Drag the destination cell in workbook B down to take the data from the entire column of workbook A.
