Frozen Cursor

Hello, My cursor has been frozen on my mac for a couple of days now and I have no idea what the problem is. I tried restarting the computer and shutting it down but it is still frozen in the same place. All I seem to be able to do is click it and it opens up the file and I can use the keyboard which isn't much help except for when I want to restart or shut down. Does anyone have a clue to what's wrong with it or how to fix this problem?
