Hello,
I had problems with my hard drive, had it replaced and set to factory settings. I'm trying to load my virus protection and my hard drive does not recognize my cd rom so I am unable to install anything. PLEASE HELP?
I tried going to the microsoft support help but it didn't work because I was suppose to delete upperFilters whatever that was and I didn't even have that word on my computer.

If you had the Hard Drive replaced I would take it back since it looks like they may have disconnected the Optical Drive. If you have a desk top computer it might be a simple jumper setting (the master/slave jumpers). Have you gone to "Device Manager" to see if a optical drive is listed?
