HELP with acer password

Hello,
I have an Acer Travelmate 2440 Laptop, and it has an e-recovery function, I want to restore to factory settings, but I changed my E-data security password and cant remember what I set it to, can anyone help me is there an fKey function that erases everything, I am running windows XP Home, and Firefox 3.5.5.

Please have the problem fixed from the following

ACER PC Restore to factory settings

Please obtain a backdoor password from the manufacturer if the

password still remains a difficulty in the task.
