Hello,

I have a very weird problem and it has been very tough handling with it...!

I get this high pitched noise from the CPU.. Not sure from where, but seems to be coming from around the processor part. After that the whole system hangs, monitor goes to some kind of stand by. None of the buttons work and i have to just turn off the UPS to come out. After this happens once then the system doesn't boot for sometime. Same problem occurs and monitor remains off!

Even my hardware repair guys couldn't sort it out. So any of u guys have any idea about this...???
Would be glad to have your replies...

Cheers

One of your components has shorted out. If you have the means, replace the PSU or motherboard (it's most likely your motherboard screaming at you). Should fix it. (Just had this same issue with mine, turned out to be the PSU with the squeal).

Hey

By cooler u meant the CPU fans rite... I have cheked them and they r working fine...
Even after the problem occurs and CPU hangs, the fans will be still running fine!
But the high pitch noise seems to come from in and around the CPU fan..

I tried running with direct power supply. Still same prob..
